Mihály Munkácsy’s Christ Trilogy in the European Capital of Culture

The Christ Trilogy created by Mihály Munkácsy - Golgota, Ecce Homo and Christ before Pilate - came to Pécs from the collection of the Déry Museum, thanks to the collaboration between Debrecen and Pécs.
The Pécs celebration of Bauhaus
Several hundreds of artworks, paintings, documents and photos wait for the visitors at the Bauhaus exhibition in the Janus Pannonius Museum in Káptalan street from 15 August. The exhibition comes to life in the framework of the Pécs2010 European Capital of Culture Programme in close partnership with the Berlin Bauhaus Archive.

Foretaste from the programmes: Ormánság Museum of Sellye, viewing of the "footed-house"; unique to the Ormánság, Castle Drassalkovich, Lovastany-csárda of Matty - greetings with scone and aqua-vitae, crunchy roasted duck from the oven (you can choose the menu in advance), Hungarian dessert, promenade, sunbathing, horseback-riding, relaxation.
